Vaccinations
Service Description
Vaccinations are vital to safeguard pets' health by preventing infectious diseases and promoting overall well-being through immune protection. These prices include a basic health check. Vaccination recommendations differ occasionally on a case by case basis. We recommend you to book for a dog vaccine health check, and our recommendations will be discussed and the relevant vaccinations given. The total price will depend on which vaccines are due at the time of the booking. In some situations, other combinations may be more appropriate in which pricing will be discussed at the time of the general health check. The dog core vaccine helps prevent several diseases in dogs: Canine distemper (CD): A highly contagious viral infection affecting multiple organs. Infectious canine hepatitis (CAV-1): A viral disease causing liver and respiratory problems. Respiratory disease (CAV-2): A respiratory infection commonly associated with kennel cough. Canine parainfluenza (CPI): A respiratory virus contributing to kennel cough. Canine parvoviral enteritis (CPV): A severe and often fatal gastrointestinal infection. These vaccines are crucial in safeguarding the health of dogs and preventing the spread of these potentially dangerous diseases. Cat vaccinations The cat core vaccine provides protection against three important viral diseases that commonly affect cats: Feline Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper): A highly contagious and potentially fatal viral infection that affects the gastrointestinal tract, bone marrow, and immune system. Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis: A respiratory infection caused by the feline herpesvirus, leading to symptoms such as sneezing, nasal discharge, and conjunctivitis. Feline Calicivirus: Another respiratory virus that causes symptoms similar to viral rhinotracheitis, including respiratory distress, oral ulcers, and joint inflammation. By vaccinating cats, these common viral diseases can be prevented, helping to keep cats healthy and protected from potential complications and spread of infection. The Cat FIV vaccine must be ordered in advance. Please contact us to make this arrangement prior to booking the vaccine.
